As a full time traveler who has been stuck at home quite a bit this year due to COVID, I’m finally able to enjoy all of the amazing products I have at home from Well Told Design.
Etched pint, wine & whiskey glasses by Well Told Design are the perfect way to remember your favorite travel destinations. Not only can you collect glasses with maps from major cities, but these etched glasses are 100% customizable to anyplace in the world with a zip code. Collect them to remember your travels, or snag a few with your college or hometown.
They even have topographical versions, which was perfect after my trip to Nepal where I caught a glimpse of Mount Everest, I love the Everest whiskey glass!
Sony A7RIII
One of the number one questions I am asked is what type of camera I use, for years I've used the Sony A7Riii. The Sony mirrorless cameras are incredible for travel they pack a powerful punch in a relatively lightweight. It's an expensive investment but it's completely worth the pay off and will last you years and years of travel.
Sony RX100 VII
If you aren’t ready for a DSLR, this is the camera I use when I just want something that can go in my pocket. It’s high quality with a Zeiss lens, and although it’s small it still packs a big punch. It’s also perfect for those starting out as bloggers and vloggers.
MeFOTO RoadTrio S Travel Tripod (Carbon Fiber)
The trick to my epic travel photos while traveling alone isn't some secret photographer or boyfriend. It's my carbon fiber tripod from MeFoto I use a remote timer on my camera that I control with my phone and my favorite tripod to take these epic images all over the world.
Noise Cancelling Headphones
Noise canceling headphones are a must for all travelers. Nothing blocks out the sound of noise chatter and crying babies quite like these. With many years of full-time travel under my belt, I have tested out a few brands and these are my favorite.
An Adventurous Getaway
Giving the gift of travel is always a sure way to make your favorite traveler’s holiday complete. I’ve planned the perfect Cambodia Group Trip in 2021 with TTG Trips. TTG Trips are designed with solo travelers in mind, these once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences provide the chance to join me (THE Trusted Travel Girl) on exclusive trips to some of her favorite destinations.
Perfect Weekend Tote
Packing for a weekend away is something that men may have mastered but most women struggle with. It’s difficult to pack enough to be prepared for any spontaneous adventure that may present itself, while still packing all the necessities we, as women, generally need. Ladies, the Catalina from Lo & Sons has got you covered and is the only weekend bag you will ever need.
The Catalina doesn’t look big, but stores a ton of stuff! A separate bottom compartment is perfect for storing shoes, sandy towels, wet bathing suits, or anything else you want separated from your clothes!
It also makes for a great carry on bag for longer trips thanks to the smart design that allows the Catalina to easily slide over the handle of any dual pole suitcase.
In-Flight Cocktail Kit
Since a simple Jack & Coke won't always cut it, this carry-on cocktail kit is perfect for enhancing your in-flight drinking experience. Feel like you are in first class, even if you are in economy by making an Old Fashioned, a Moscow Mule, or a Margarita. Just add alcohol.
Paddy Wax Travel Candle
Theres something about a travel candle that makes your hotel experience a little more cozy and relaxing. Paddy Wax makes some of my favorite travel candles.
Alo Moto Leggings
We’ve all been living in our yoga pants this year, but when I’m on a plane legging are my go-to. I like to be comfy— but still put together which is why I love Alo Moto Leggings. I’ve been living in these all year whether I’m at home or on the go.
Priority Pass
Having lounge access is one of the most important things when I fly. I’m a huge fan of Priority Pass because it works all over the world in airports big and small— even some where you really didn’t expect a lounge!
Generally you get free meals or snacks, drinks (including alcohol), sometimes even access to showers. Plus, the lounges are a more comfortable and quieter place to charge your electronics and recharge yourself before a flight.
The Perfect Discreet Camera Bag
I use an incredibly discreet camera bag to stash all of my gear. The Claremont from Lo & Sons looks more like a purse than a camera bag. In some places, I can’t leave my purse to get it out of the shot for fear it may be stolen. This way, an ugly camera bag doesn’t ruin otherwise great candid shots, instead, it adds to them.
The Claremont also provides greater safety from creeps looking to prey on travelers, since it doesn’t look like a camera bag and prevents me from looking like a tourist. It also makes me less of a target for theft since you would never guess that I have a a lot of expensive camera equipment on me.
High Quality Luggage
Another question I’m asked all the time is what luggage is my favorite. Hands down, Victorinox Swiss Army makes the best luggage. It has a 10 year warranty and the wheels and zippers hold up to my 200,000 miles flown per year!
A suitcase with the ability to expand is essential for travelers. Often times on press trips I find myself unexpectedly picking up oversized souvenirs to bring back for my family and friends. For years, this has meant I needed to get creative with my packing, throw things out, or buy an extra bag while traveling. After discovering Victorinox Swiss Army’s Expandable Spectra suitcase, I always have the extra room I need to take home souvenirs.
Victorinox Swiss Army is one of the few brands that makes quality items across the board in everything that they do. Although they are best known for their knives, Victorinox Swiss Army is one of the leaders in quality travel gear. I have trekked all over the globe with their products by my side, and they have all stood up to the elements, as well as abuse from baggage handlers. Swiss Army products are always designed with function in mind without sacrificing the eye-catching look of the bag.
My favorite bag from Victorinox is the Spectra Expandable. It has a sleek design, is ultra durable and has the ability to expand up to 40% when overfilled! In addition, it has practical features such as opening from the top and a special pocket for your swiss army knife.
Eye Mask
Whether you’re on a plane, train, bus, car, or just trying to get some shut eye in your hotel, nothing helps induce sleep and beat jet lag like an eye mask that blocks out all the light. I’ve been crushing on 41 Winks masks for awhile, and finally splurged on one. They not only have cheeky phrases, but they’re high quality and over-sized to block out all the light.
Drone
Throwing the drone up lets you see a destination from a new point of view and gives you some epic aerial shots. Plus, they’re a hell of a lot of fun to fly! My favorite is the Mavic Pro 2 from DJI. It’s easy to fly, and compact for travel.
