Later, Travel Agents! Booking Your Own Flights to Cuba is Now Possible for USA Citizens

Havana, Cuba

Havana, Cuba

Exciting news! This is the first time I have found that it is possible to book airfare to Cuba from the states without a travel agent or group tour. Thankfully, you can finally book to Havana in one simple transaction. The flight will still process as two separate tickets, but with this one swift transaction you can be on your way to Cuba (just like I was last week)!

Booking these flights yourself has been made possible by Copa Airlines from cities such as New York, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and several others. Simply go to CopaAir to book now.

Although Copa Air will still route you through Panama, this process is profoundly easier than going through a travel agent outside of the states. Also, it allows you the freedom to explore on your own and not travel with a group. However, don't forget, there are still government restrictions in place so be sure you are following the loose guidelines which I have outlined here in this previous post.

Cuba is one of the most incredible places that I have visited. I recommend going now before much of it's charm is washed away by the imminent influx of American tourism. A recap on my recent Cuba trip will be posted in the coming days, and it will be complete with recommendations and traveling tips in order to help you plan your trip with greater ease.
